Caitlin McCormack

Senior Consultant

Caitlin is an experienced researcher, analyst and project manager with particular expertise in sustainable food and farming, supply chains, biodiversity conservation and development.

Working in 3Keel’s Resilient Agriculture practice area, Caitlin’s focus is on projects identifying and implementing on-farm and supply chain measures to improve the sustainability of the food and farming sector, with a particular focus on landscape and ecological impacts. Recent projects include developing a sustainable sourcing scheme for Oatly, an evaluation of sustainable livestock feed systems for WWF UK, and interviews with agri-food innovation experts for DEFRA. Caitlin also occasionally works with the Sustainable Commodities team, supporting research on deforestation risk agri-commodity sourcing in order to inform policy and business practice.

Prior to joining 3Keel, Caitlin worked as a freelance consultant for clients including the Cool Farm Alliance and GreenInk, and as a natural- and social-science research associate at SLU and Stockholm University. Before that, she worked as a Research Associate in the Cambridge University Conservation Science Group, as a policy analyst at IEEP and the British Ecological Society, and as a field ecologist for a Wildlife Trust consulting arm. Caitlin is confident working with academics, policy makers, NGOs, and food industry clients.

Caitlin holds a BSc in Environmental Science from Southampton University and a Masters in Rural Development from the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences (SLU). She is highly skilled in both natural and social science and in qualitative and quantitative research methods.
