Catherine is a 3Keel senior consultant specialising in research and evaluation efforts in agriculture and the wider food system.
Prior to joining 3Keel, Catherine spent seven years in agriculture in the northeastern United States, initially working on large scale dairy and vegetable farms and moving on to manage small scale horticultural and mixed livestock enterprises. During this time she was active in local and state farming groups. She then went on to complete an MSc in Evidence-Based Social Intervention at the University of Oxford, where her dissertation was a systematic review of garden-based nutritional interventions for fruit and vegetable intake.
Catherine’s unique combination of practical, muddy boots experience and academic training in research and evaluation allow her to view and understand questions from multiple perspectives. She especially enjoys opportunities to engage in research and relationships that stretch across landscapes and supply chains.
