Ellen Percival
Junior Consultant
Ellen is a Junior Consultant in the Climate, Nature and Resources Business Unit. She specialises in the circular economy, working in areas such as ecodesign and life cycle assessments.
Before joining 3Keel, Ellen worked at circular economy consultancy Oakdene Hollins, where she contributed to a diverse range of projects. This included research towards sustainable policy such as Extended Producer Responsibility schemes and collaborating with clients and government to implement circular business models to drive value retention and improve waste management of products (such as furniture, textiles and electronics). Her work also covered interpreting life cycle assessments in the chemicals and biobased materials industries. Earlier in her career, Ellen spent several months in a lab at Oxford Nanopore Technologies, testing equipment used for portable DNA sequencing.
Her interest in sustainability has stemmed from a combination of a personal interest in lower impact purchases, a university module exploring the chemistry behind renewable energy technologies, and an admiration for a fellow Ellen, Ellen MacArthur, and her work in the circular economy has resulted in her pursuing a career in this field.
Ellen holds an Integrated Master’s degree in Chemistry from the University of Warwick and, more recently, completing a Master’s in Sustainability from Cranfield University.
