Eve Nelson
Senior Consultant
Eve is a Senior Consultant, delivering a wide range of projects for both corporate and NGO clients. She works primarily in sustainable commodities, with special interest in marine topics. Eve combines research, data evidenced analysis and insight for clients considering complex environmental and ethical issues within supply chains, to devise strategy and policy and facilitate change. She manages projects and coalitions with multiple stakeholders, including leading 3Keel’s role as Secretariat to the Sustainable Seafood Coalition.
Prior to joining 3Keel, Eve gained professional sustainability experience in the education and private sectors. She started her career in the sustainability department at University College London, helping create their five year sustainability strategy. She moved to the food retail industry to project manage Iceland Foods’ removal of plastic packaging, including establishing and chairing supplier working groups, accurate data tracking, reporting and communications.
Eve has a First Class Honours Degree in Biological Sciences from the University of Oxford, and researched biodiversity in palm oil landscapes and sustainable fishing as part of her studies. Alongside this, she participated in the IFSTAL (Interdisciplinary Food Systems Teaching and Learning) programme, considering food systems and production. Eve also undertook a range of sustainability work experience placements with university research teams, food companies and property and estate management, and volunteered abroad on several marine conservation projects. She is an Associate member of the Institute of Environmental Management and Assessment (IEMA), having attained her certificate in Environmental Management.
