Jack Walton

Consultant

Jack works in the Climate Change Practice Area. He is currently working on carbon footprinting for food retailers and producers. He is also investigating automating some steps in the footprinting process.

Prior to joining 3Keel, Jack worked as an engineer for the company that designed and manufactured the Pfizer Covid vaccine ultra-cold packaging. His work ranged from investigating and preventing vaccine thermal excursions, to automating the creation of reports with python and VBA.

Jack has a Master’s degree in Engineering from the University of Cambridge. His Master’s project looked at lowering the embodied carbon of concrete floors with a novel manufacturing method. Jack also investigated how the UK could reduce their cement production emissions with an ingredient change.

Outside of work, Jack enjoys bike touring with his partner on their tandem, and restoring retro bikes. He also has a keen interest in urbanism and city planning, volunteering with the Oxford cycling campaign.
