Katie Hinde
Junior Consultant
Katie is working within the Sustainable Commodities team, mapping supply chains to increase traceability and transparency. Her background is in food systems, having joined us from Defra where she worked in the Legal Standards Policy Team. Prior to this, she worked in the UK policy team for an environmental NGO, working to end factory farming.
Katie holds an undergraduate degree in International Relations from the University of Edinburgh. Studying the intersections between gender, environment and the global food system led her to complete an MSc in Food Policy from City, University of London. Her research dissertation assessed the coherence between UK agricultural policy an ‘less and better’ meat.
Outside of work Katie spends a lot of time outside, either hiking and exploring or just generally enjoying dog walking or sea swimming. This year she completed her first (and last) triathlon and her bucket list trip across the Inner Hebrides.
