Luke Ryder

Senior Consultant

Luke is a Senior Consultant in the Resilient Agriculture and Climate Change team with over fifteen years of experience in food, farming & environmental policy making, farm-business planning and on-farm innovation. A passionate advocate for sustainable agriculture across all sectors, Luke is currently leading on projects looking at supply chain adaptation & resilience, sustainable sourcing, land use change and influencing producer behaviour. Of particular interest is the necessary transition to a regenerative farming future and the role of all supply chain actors in helping to facilitate such an outcome.

In his most recent role prior to 3Keel, Luke was Agri-Lead at the Satellite Applications Catapult, where he worked in a consortium-building role, identifying innovative technology (satellite, drone, robotic, IoT) solutions to natural capital issues and building collaborative, co-funded programmes to advance traceability and sustainability.

Luke has a first-class honours degree in Agriculture & Livestock Technology from the University of Central Lancashire, routinely helps at a local farm and is a steering group member of a farm discussion group. Outside of work Luke enjoys hiking, reading, and gardening and as of 2023 he became a Co-Founder of a small sustainable country clothing start-up.
