Mark Barthel joins 3Keel as partner
Mark joined the 3Keel team as a Partner at the beginning of February 2016, bringing with him a successful 25-year track record in identifying, managing, communicating and, above all, finding solutions to difficult environmental and sustainable development issues. He has worked for a wide range of organisations from UN agencies, the European Commission, major international brands such as Tesco and Nestle, and well known NGO’s including Greenpeace and WWF.
Mark has spent the last twelve years at UK sustainability charity, WRAP, where his most recent role was as Special Adviser for Product Sustainability. In this role, he led work to establish and manage WRAP’s Product Sustainability Forum; created and chaired a new International Network of Product Sustainability Initiatives; and also led WRAPs work helping to shape and support the delivery of the UNEP’s 10 Year Framework of Programmes on SCP. Prior to his time at WRAP, Mark spent 8 years at British Standards Institution leading its work on international environmental and sustainability standards and projects. Marks strengths lie in combining policy, business, technical, commercial and cultural perspectives to find creative solutions to sustainability challenges, often bringing stakeholders together to do so.
