Welcome to 3Keel! How have your first days been so far?

It’s been great! I’ve been enjoying diving into the world of commodities. It’s been a busy start – hugging my amazing colleagues, receiving lots of training, and learning the unique language of sustainability and commodities.

What have you started working on?

I am part of the Palm Oil team, where we are currently working on supplier mapping to assess deforestation risks in the palm oil supply chain. My main focus is on data collection and cleaning, ensuring that all data is reliable and that every supplier and every mill is accounted for.

What are you looking forward to most about working for 3Keel?

First and foremost, I’m excited to work with my team. It’s inspiring to collaborate with such a hardworking and supportive group of people. Together, we can make a real difference to make things happen (or not happen, like deforestation).
Secondly, I’m looking forward to growing my expertise in the commodity industry. The training sessions so far have been incredibly inspiring and have encouraged me to dig deeper into this field.

Who or what inspired you to work in sustainability?

My journey began during my time as an environmental representative in college. I loved working in a small, collaborative team, holding weekly meetings, and striving to make tangible improvements. In the end, we succeeded in driving real change, which was incredibly fulfilling. That experience showed me the potential for positive impact, and it’s motivated me to pursue sustainability on a larger scale to create even more meaningful change.

When you’re not working, what do you like to do?

I love watching movies and reading books (including comics of course). I’m also a big fan of rock music, so I enjoy going to live shows whenever I can. I also try my best to explore green spaces in London – parks, marshes, and any little pocket of nature I can find.
