Welcome to 3Keel! How have your first days been so far?
They’ve been really enjoyable. Everyone has been welcoming and supportive, and
I’ve already had plenty of exciting opportunities, including visiting the other 3Keel offices, a team social and a visit to parliament with a client!
What have you started working on?
So far, I’ve been working on a consortium’s Net Zero roadmap, setting SBTi certified FLAG targets for a food services company and foot-printing emissions for a food delivery platform.
What are you looking forward to most about working for 3Keel?
I joined 3Keel because of their renowned expertise in agrifood systems research and implementation, as well as the broad range of projects delivered across climate change, nature, circular economy, sustainable diets and more. I’m looking forward to all the exciting opportunities that will come from this wealth of knowledge and experience.
Who or what inspired you to work in sustainability?
My undergraduate degree was in philosophy, which led me to works of environmental thought, politics and critical theory. The eureka moment for me was discovering the work of early critical economists and systems thinkers such as E. F. Schumacher and Murray Bookchin. They made me realise that the climate and nature emergency is more than just a speed bump in a business-as-usual world, it’s going to require us to fundamentally rethink much of our day-to-day life.
When you’re not working, what do you like to do?
I love growing food on my allotment, cooking, making things and climbing, and when the weather permits cycling and walking in nature.
