Robbie Dawson

Graphic Designer

Robbie’s work involves using design to communicate aspects of 3Keel’s work, from adding some typographic spice to reports to using diagrams and graphics to aid the understanding of complex supply chains. He is also involved in the design and maintenance of the 3Keel website and company communications.

He has a background in education, both as a qualified English language teacher with experience working in Oxford and South Korea, and later in the field of educational publishing working in the Design department at Oxford University Press specialising in digital image management and art commissioning for international schoolbooks. Alongside this, he worked as a freelance designer for a number of years, focusing on creative poster and promotional design for cultural events; copy editing, layout, and photography for brochures and reports; and information design for technical presentations. His clients include the University of Sheffield, The Stockholm Environment Institute, and Cochrane UK.

Robbie received his MA in Communication Design from the University of Reading in 2021 where his work combined aspects of modern information design with fine typography and page layout. He has a BA in Ethnomusicology from SOAS, University of London, and has spoken on the subject of his dissertation research, the musician Robbie Basho, on the BBC Asian Network, as well as on film and in print.

He brings to 3Keel wide experience in communicating diverse and complex topics, and a passion for finding novel and innovative ways of doing so.
