Welcome to 3Keel! How has your day been so far?
Great, thank you. Today I’ve been wrapping up some Excel analysis, and I’ll be meeting with my line manager later to set some goals for my internship and talk through my next projects.
What have you started working on?
I’m working on a land footprint analysis across several consumer goods organisations for commodities such as soy and palm. I’m also supporting a supplier engagement project, focussed on social and environmental indicators, and preparing to deliver some climate-risk workshops. It’s been a busy but rewarding start to my internship!
What are you looking forward to most about working for 3Keel?
I’m enjoying getting an insight into both qualitative and quantitative projects at 3Keel, and I’m excited to learn more about the different practice areas and clients. Plus, everyone has been very welcoming and I’m looking forward to getting to know my colleagues.
Who or what inspired you to work in sustainability?
The world is facing many challenges, but with challenges come the opportunity to work towards a better future for people and the planet. I’ve always loved nature and felt strongly about sustainability, but it was working as a research assistant for a net zero research initiative during my undergrad that inspired me to work in this area.
When you’re not working, what do you like to do?
There’s always a lot to do in Oxford and London! During my free time, I can often be found at a concert, talk or exhibition. I also love books and podcasts, particularly when I can enjoy them outdoors on a sunny day. I like learning languages and travelling further afield when I can, particularly to visit friends and family abroad.
