Curtis MacGeever
Principal Consultant
Curtis is a Principal Consultant in the Climate, Nature and Resources team. He specialises in supporting clients to understand their climate impacts and set targets that align with the latest climate science. Curtis develops and leverages analytical tools that measure emissions with greater accuracy and granularity, in turn enabling clients to get more strategic insight from carbon reporting.
He is an expert in carbon accounting having supported companies of all shapes and sizes in reporting Scope 1, 2 and 3 emissions in line with the GHG-Protocol. Similarly, he has supported over 20 clients in developing and validating targets with the Science-based Targets Initiative. Areas of expertise include supporting food businesses to track the impacts of products within agricultural supply chains, working with Tesco, M&S, BrewDog, Just Eat Takeway, Reckitt and many more to understand how these impacts align to the latest industry frameworks.
Alongside his expertise in metrics and analysis, Curtis supports companies in developing strategies and transition plans that ensure businesses are relevant in a low-carbon economy. This pulls on experience across supplier engagement, climate risk, decarbonisation modelling and strategy implementation. He is also an experienced programme manager and has led multi-year reporting programmes with some of the world’s biggest companies.
Curtis has worked in sustainability consulting for 8 years and prior to joining 3Keel, worked for Verco and then Anthesis. Curtis hails from a background in engineering having graduated with a Master’s degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Bristol.
