Jack Walton

Consultant

Jack is a Consultant in 3Keel’s Climate, Nature and Resources Business Unit, and specialises in scope 3 carbon accounting and reduction modelling. He has worked with a wide variety of clients to estimate and model their emissions, including CoOp, M&S and The Wine Society. More recently, he has focused on robust land use change emissions accounting. He has worked on complex decarbonization models, supported clients with Science-Based Target submissions and validations, and physical climate risk modelling. Currently, Jack is working with several clients on accounting for commodity certifications in their carbon emissions, providing a better projection of short-term land use change emissions to help clients meet their 2030 targets.

Jack holds an MEng in engineering from the University of Cambridge, where he gained an interest in climate change mitigation. In his Master’s project, he investigated the global carbon reductions potential and practical implementation of a novel manufacturing method of concrete floors. Prior to 3Keel, Jack worked on increasing the sustainability of temperature-controlled pharmaceutical packaging, including the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine packaging.
