Laura Watson
Consultant
Laura is a Consultant in the Agriculture and Landscapes Business Unit, assisting in delivery of nature market scoping studies and multi-stakeholder landscape scale projects. Her projects include working on Natural England Protected Site Strategies, and past projects include 8 Hills (National Trust), Purple Horizons (Natural England), and Catalysing Nature Recovery for People and Nature (Earth Trust). Laura has a particular interest in green commerce including supporting clients on identifying the best way their projects can use green finance and commerce to support implementing nature-based solutions at a landscape scale. To her role she brings her skills as a collaborator with both land managers and potential project partners.
Laura was heavily involved in the establishment of LENs, including supporting the East of England LENs trade in 2024, and the establishment of a new Scottish LENs.
Laura has a BA Geography degree from the University of Oxford, where her dissertation focussed on the interactions between groundwater and the coastal system. This provided a strong academic background to Laura’s current work considering landscapes as connected systems.
