Simon Miller

Managing Director

Simon is Co-Founder of 3Keel, and has been the Managing Director since its founding in 2013. Simon has broad technical knowledge across the food system and FMCG supply chains, and has been actively involved in the evolution of GHG accounting and management in the UK since 2006.

From 2015-18, Simon worked part-time as General Manager of Cool Farm, significantly growing its membership and profile, which in turn gave him a detailed understanding of the issues and dynamics across agri-food supply chains.

As he has progressed through his career, Simon has become increasingly interested in facilitation, complex problem-solving and relationship management, and practises these as Project Director on larger assignments and as a Chairperson. Most recently he has chaired the BRC Mondra Coalition for aligning GHG measurement in the UK grocery sector, which is a group he also helped to establish in 2023. Simon has also worked in close support of multiple key client accounts including Tesco and M&S, as well as repeatedly with associations such as Food and Drink Federation and the British Retail Consortium where he led the creation of their sector-wide decarbonisation programmes.

Before joining 3Keel, Simon was Director of a boutique sustainability firm until 2012, and prior to that was the manager on a UK government-funded programme for embedding ecodesign in UK manufacturing. Simon holds BSc Biology and MSc Environmental Sustainability from the University of Edinburgh.
