Emily Scott

Senior Consultant

At 3Keel, Emily is a Senior Consultant in the Sustainable Commodities team working across a range of deforestation-risk commodities (including soy, cocoa and palm oil) to deliver projects improving supply chain resilience for retail and food sector clients through analysis, target setting and strategy development. In addition Emily supports the convening of multi-stakeholder groups to reduce the environmental impact of commodity supply chains, as well as working on projects on food waste and regenerative agriculture.

Having originally trained as a solicitor, working for five years in corporate finance at a large City law firm, Emily made the decision in 2013 to undertake an MPhil in Environmental Policy at the University of Cambridge and thereafter refocus her career in retail, agriculture and sustainability. Prior to joining 3Keel, Emily worked as a freelance sustainability consultant for a range of clients – from small charities to multinational businesses – delivering targeted research, materiality assessment and business development work.

Before that she worked at Sainsbury’s for six years both in the agriculture team and in sustainability strategy, with a specific focus on sustainability communication, governance and reporting. When not working, she is a dedicated cut flower and vegetable gardener with a particular interest in making gardening accessible and enjoyable for children.
