Josefin Malmberg

Senior Consultant

Josefin works as part of the Circular Economy team, helping clients understand the impact of their products across the whole lifecycle and find ways of designing out waste. To this she brings her knack for big-picture thinking and passion for solving systemic problems.

Josefin is an experienced researcher and has contributed to multiple packaging and carbon footprint assessments during her time at 3Keel. She is also a proficient project manager and leads the innocent drinks Hero Supplier Programme. Josefin has sustainability consulting experience across the Swedish, German and UK markets. As part of Accenture Strategy’s sustainability team, she gained insight into the development of integrated sustainability strategies for companies in the life sciences sector. She furthered her analytical skills at the Stockholm-based consultancy Purple IVY, where she helped develop a framework for assessing materiality issues.

Josefin holds an interdisciplinary MSc in Nature, Society and Environmental Governance from the University of Oxford and a BA in Geography from Durham University. With a keen interest in the social dimension of sustainability transition, she dedicated her MSc dissertation research to analysing visions for London as a circular city and the social norms and behaviours they promote. Alongside her studies, she also provided research and analysis to the London Waste and Recycling Board on how to best convey the benefits of circular economy activities to SMEs. In 2020, she was a selected participant of the Ellen MacArthur Foundation’s From Linear to Circular London programme for circular economy pioneers.
